The Basics
This perennial evergreen has dark purple-black foliage that blooms numerous dark purple spikes followed by groups of purple berries in the fall. Clumps grow to be 5-6 inches tall and wide. This versatile plant may be placed on slopes and at the base of trees, and is ideal for groundcover, mass planting, borders and edging.
