The Basics
Also known as a walking iris and fan iris, the apostle iris showcases beautiful, exotic looking flowers. Each flower has three large petals which highlight 3 smaller colored and curled petals. This plant blooms throughout summer, spring, and part of fall. Its foliage is green, stemless, and sword shaped. The Needs Amount of Sunlight: Full to Partial Shade Amount of Water: water regularly; reduce frequency in winter Soil Conditions: well-drained, acidic, loamy, sandy, or clay soils Cold Hardiness Zone: 9-11 The Care Can be pruned or trimmed after the flowering season is over and once its roots are established.
