The Basics
This evergreen grows even faster than the leyland cypress and has been shown to be more disease resistant. Murray has a narrow, symmetrical, upright growing habit. The bright emerald green foliage grows densely to heights of 30-40 feet (6-10 feet wide). Its narrow symmetrical form is used for screens and accent specimen. The Needs Amount of Sunlight: Full sun Amount of Water: Water regularly; more frequent watering in extreme heat; Drought tolerant Soil Conditions: Prefers dry, well-drained soil Cold Hardiness Zone: 6-10 The Care This fast-growing upright needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. The first year of growth requires watering weekly. After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly.
