The Basics
Stromanthe's foliage has beautiful cream, pink, and green variegation. The underside of each leaf is a deep purple-pink. While the plant is young, it makes for a great indoor plant. As it ages and becomes larger, it can be used as a floor plant indoors or as a container plant outside. The Needs Amount of Sunlight: Shade to partial sun Amount of Water: water regularly Soil conditions: prefers well-draining soil Cold hardiness Zone: 10-11 The Care Stromanthe can be utilized as a houseplant and requires different care than if it were outside. Indoor stromanthe need bright indirect light to medium light. The more indirect light it receives, the more defined its variegation becomes! Outside, stromanthe need to avoid direct sunlight and prefer shade. |
